If you have been on an awakening path for some time, you’ve likely been successful in creating a general sense of contentment and peace in your life. Most of the time, you are probably able to experience a sense of centeredness and balance in yourself, even in rough times.
But what about JOY? How often do you experience that?
How often do you feel the passion and excitement that tend to spring from this high-frequency emotion? Or the bright expansion of consciousness in which your whole being lights up and your spirit soars?
Maybe in the past there were circumstances, events or relationships that seemed to create this kind of joy in you, but they’re no longer present in your life. Or perhaps joy still appears from time to time, but it doesn’t last, and you’re not certain you can create it anymore. Too much has changed.
Perhaps your life has even become flat, or worse — full of conflict. There certainly isn’t much happening in the world today that would bring up joy in anyone; and, if you’re like many lightworkers, your personal life is probably also not all that fun a good part of the time. You’re finding it hard to find anything that could create joy for you.
Ascension Waves of Light
This is certainly understandable. As time goes on, the ascension waves of light pouring onto the planet are becoming increasingly intense in their ability to disrupt old emotional patterns that no longer serve us and are demanding the resolution and release of these patterns. This can create a great deal of discomfort. These are patterns we cannot take with us into the Fifth Dimension and it’s sometimes hard to detach from them.
Indeed, it can be hard to continue on, if nothing much seems to change, even when you’re dealing well with the old energies of wounding that are coming up. It may feel like one uncomfortable thing after another keeps occurring, and that a state of joy is an almost impossible emotion to enjoy.
If you are experiencing this, don’t despair. No matter what’s happening in your life, you can ignite the joy you once felt – and even a more lasting joy – with a strong intention to do so and an understanding of what joy actually is.
Here are some suggestions for steps you might wish to take to attempt this.
Understanding the Nature of Joy
The first thing is to clearly understand the nature of joy and where it springs from. What you can discover is that joy is already a part of you – it is one of the basic, essential aspects of who you are as a Soul. You probably already realize that Light is part of your Essential Self. As is Love. What you may not realize is that joy is also one of the natural, inherent aspects of your Eternal Self.
You have been cut off from truly knowing this since you’ve inhabited the Third Dimension; it’s part of what happened in the Fall of Consciousness. Just as, in entering the Third Dimension, you were kept from remembering your natural, eternal connection to Source, you were also cut off from your nature as an inherently joyful Being.
As a result, no matter how spiritually evolved you may be, no matter how deep your understanding of spiritual truth, what you may have continued to believe is that an experience of joy can only really be experienced when certain positive outer events, circumstances or relationships come into your life.
As you may have found, when you have this belief, you are always waiting for something great to happen before you can experience joy. And this waiting may go on for a long, long time, before something finally arises in your life that helps you at last to feel joyful again.
If you find yourself waiting like this, what you haven’t realized – or remembered – is that true joy is not dependent on outer conditions, which come and go. Outer conditions can certainly ignite the flame of joy within you – at least for a while. But what you can learn is that joy is accessible at any point, no matter what conditions may be occurring in your life.
Joy is an unconditional state of being that already exists inside of you. It is always there, always present, within you. Indeed, the experience of true joy is actually an indication that you have, at least temporarily, merged with your Soul.
Creating a New Neural Pathway
So, if this is true, how can you learn to access this free, unconditional joy, no matter what is happening in your life?
One simple, but powerful, practice is to create a new neural pathway that leads effortlessly to the joy that resides eternally within your Soul. Although there are a number of ways you can create this pathway, one way is to take the time while in meditation every day to clearly remember times in your life when you’ve felt intense joy.
You know — those times when your whole being has felt like it’s expanding with light and fullness, and your spirit is soaring with a sense of ecstatic freedom. Perhaps this has been accompanied by unstoppable laughter for a time. Everything feels far more than okay – it is all perfect.
These experiences may be hard to remember at first – but most people have had at least some taste of this kind of joy in their life. See if you can bring these experiences clearly into your awareness and fully feel the elation you once felt as the joy surges through both your mind and your body. You’ll see that really remembering these experiences can bring the joy back fully into your being, here and now.
If you can remember experiences of spiritual joy that just erupted in you during an awakening experience, this is best. But if you can’t remember any time like this, it doesn’t matter – just bring any experience of joy to mind and fully feel the intensity of this emotion.
Be aware of how your body responds to the joy – it knows this feeling, it’s familiar. You simply have not focused on it for a while; you’ve allowed other less positive circumstances and emotions to dominate your awareness.
Rest in the Joy
When you’ve summoned this joy from your memory, rest in the experience of it; feel yourself smile and your spirits lift. Feel gratitude for this gift. This gives the message to your mind and body that this is what you want to focus on and experience. This practice is what also begins creating a new neural pathway in your brain – a pathway to the knowing and experiencing of joy.
After a while in doing this process on a daily basis, see if you can forget trying to summon the memory of what was happening in past times of joy and simply call forth the experience of joy itself into the here and now.
See clearly how quickly the joy begins to appear within you, now that you’ve cleared a pathway for it into your current awareness. You will see that the joy has never left; it’s still alive in you. You had just relegated it to the background of your mind, let it drop into your subconscious.
Gradually, as you do this consistently every day for a while, you will find that you more naturally and easily slip into this joyful feeling at any time, even outside of meditation. You begin finding delight in the smallest things in your everyday life, even a quiet sense of bliss for no reason at all.
And you will see that the programming that tells you that you have to wait for outer circumstances to change in order to feel joy is slowly being erased. You will know you have the power to ignite joy within you, no matter what is happening.
Creating Joy in the Quantum Field
All this said, it doesn’t mean you should cease any efforts you’re making to bring new positive events, circumstances or relationships into your life that will help to further ignite the joy already present within you. Of course – do anything and everything you can to experience joy, as this experience is what will assist you greatly in raising your vibration to ascend even more quickly, with fewer back-slides into 3D consciousness.
One of the best ways to successfully manifest something new in your life is to learn about the Quantum Field. This field is not some rare mystical energy field that only a few advanced people can access. Actually, it’s a field that is within and around you all the time – just probably not all that consciously.
Very importantly, this field is impacted by every thought, emotion, word, and action you experience. When you hear the statement that you are “creating your own reality”, realize that this field is where you are creating it. Unfortunately, most people are unaware of this and continue to create what they’ve created in the past over and over again with their same old negative thoughts and emotions.
Another way to state this is that the Quantum Field is where the Law of Attraction takes place. Whatever you focus your thoughts on, especially when experiencing strong emotion, is what the field will create for you. Your thoughts and emotions very effectively attract the circumstances that match them. The Quantum Field deeply respects you as a Creator Being and is faithful in bringing to you what you apparently want more of, since this is what you are focusing on.
So, in clearly understanding this, you can then take the time to fully and consciously immerse yourself in the Quantum Field by shifting into your Etheric Body – that energetic aspect of yourself you probably go into when in meditation and your thoughts have become very quiet.
Then, once there, begin having thoughts and feeling emotions that will attract what you are desiring in your life. Focus on certain circumstances you know will uplift you. And feel the joy and gratitude you know they will bring NOW, as if they are already happening.
You’ve certainly been aware of these kinds of manifestation teachings that are available everywhere these days. And perhaps you’ve been somewhat successful in bringing in new and positive experiences in this way.
But perhaps you haven’t. What you may not realize is that negative, victim programming can sometimes require a great deal of intention and perseverance at first in this manifestation practice, and it can become disheartening if you don’t quickly get the results you’re hoping for. However, if you first set out to create a new neural pathway as I’ve described above, this will help you enormously to attain results much more quickly.
At the same time, it’s important to remember that even if you are successful in creating new experiences which bring joy into your life in this way, you have perhaps still attached the joy to the new conditions you’ve created. You’ve forgotten that outer conditions generally change and come and go. And if your joy is dependent on those positive conditions, then your joy also comes and goes.
Again – it’s important to realize that outer circumstances don’t create joy – they simply call forward what is already there within you. True joy is not dependent on these circumstances. It is a natural, innate aspect of your True Nature. You don’t have to create it – simply rediscover it within you and call it forth.
So, as you continue to create a more positive future for yourself in the Quantum Field, keep this in mind. Learn to simply access joy, itself, from within yourself. Feel it for no reason at all, knowing this is YOU. And discover, in doing this, how more and more YOU will begin showing up in your life.
